pot of gold cupcakes

In honor of St. Patrick's day and to thank the wonderful team at Anthony's pizza for always feeding my team at work I decided to make cupcakes. Nothing to big or hard but just a sign of appreciation. Now to make them festive I took the air head sour strip candys cut them into smaller strips and bought chocolate coins. I also invested in one of my favorite products edible gold spray.

to start I made chocolate devils food cake and my tried and true cream cheese frosting. Cream together one stick of salted butter, a stick if cream cheese, add in one pound of sifted powdered sugar. A pinch of salt, a splash of milk and a bit of vanilla. Super easy but super delicious. I then frosted my cupcakes sprinkled half in green sprinkles and sprayed he other half with my gold spray. Keep in mind it will darken after it sits. I then took the candy strips and arched them onto the gold cupcakes to look like a rainbow and put a coin in at the end. And a gold coin on the sprinkle ones too. And Tada quick and easy with delicious results.

and here is a picture of my new shirt that I find hilarious and very me!! Hope you all had a wonderful and safe holiday!

update

HELLO EVERYONE!

I am sooo sorry it has been so long since I have posted. A lot has changed in my life to where I am no longer where I was or able to do all of my crafts or baking. I am back in my home state and working a wonderful job merchandising and controlling inventory of a hardware store.

On occasion I do get back ito the crafting world and baking world but it is very limited now. I will definitely try to show off what I do thought the step by step blogs may not come.

My current project that I am working on is making a cardboard firetruck with elvis and Radar from fireman Sam for my nephew's 5th birthday. HE is sooo excited and he asked me back in December if I could make him this. So I have been collecting boxes and practicing my drawing skills for this challenge. It's a big one and I will definitely try and show my process as we go.

I hope everyone is doing well and that 2017 is our year!

Good luck Goonies
